Why Unior

For decades, Unior has been a trusted partner of the European automotive industry and an indispensable ally for both professionals and passionate DIY enthusiasts. With extensive expertise in the automated handling and processing of metal sheets, Unior delivers tools that excel in precision, durability, and ease of use.

Production process

Craftsmanship is at the heart of Unior. Each type of tool is manufactured through a specialized production process, perfectly tailored to its application. From wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers to hammers, pullers, and bike tools, every piece undergoes a strictly controlled process to ensure durability, safety, and user comfort. This guarantees top quality in every handle.

Materials

Unior deliberately selects high-quality alloys and advanced steel types to produce tools that last for years, even under extreme stress.

Durable chrome-vanadium steel: For tools that must withstand high tensile and bending forces, such as wrenches and pipe pliers, Unior uses chrome-vanadium alloy steel (31CrV3). Additions of manganese, chromium, silicon, and carbon provide maximum strength, flexibility, and minimal wear.

Torsion resistant: The sockets and other tools that must absorb torsional forces are made of 25CrMo4 steel. This composition guarantees high tensile strength and elasticity without risk of breakage.

Flexible screwdrivers: To achieve shafts with optimal hardness and elasticity, Unior uses 73MoV52 steel. Molybdenum and silicon provide durability and resistance to cracking.

Pliers with optimal grip: Made with steels such as C45E and C60E, characterized by their high tensile strength and precision induction hardening, they guarantee a high clamping force and a long service life.

For heavy-duty use: For hammers, adjusting tools, and clamps, Unior chooses medium carbon steel (C45R). This steel offers an ideal balance of toughness, hardness, and elasticity, essential for high-impact applications.

Effortless cutting: Special carbon steel with added vanadium is used to cut pliers like the shark cutter, resulting in exceptional cutting strength even on hard wires.

High-level workshop equipment: Unior's workbenches, tool trolleys and storage systems are made of cold-rolled steel, offering excellent mechanical properties and additional reinforcement at the points of greatest load.

Eco-friendly finish: All steel components are coated with a 90-micron, corrosion-resistant, eco-friendly powder coating. This coating is free of heavy metals and is safe for both people and the environment, certified by the International Institute of Public Health.
